ABOUT ME

I am a youth worker, speaker, an author and the co-founder of the United Nation supported Picha Mtaani National Reconciliation Initiative in Kenya. I am a British Council Global Change Maker and a Fellow of the International Youth Foundation.

PUBLIC SPEAKING

I continue to deliver keynotes, mentoring programs and workshops targeting young leaders in diverse forums around the world, including; The World Economic Forum on Africa, Global Redesign Series on Conflict, the International Young Leaders Summit as well as the Security and Defense Agenda and NATO’s Conference on Cultural Relations.

COMMUNITY WORK

I love to engage diverse youth communities through influence in innovation and social enterprises in Kenya and abroad. I am involved in the development of debating programs with the International Award for Young People; I advise the programming of the ‘Hatua’ Social Justice TV show with the Mohamed Amin Foundation and I am a member of the Concerned Citizens for Peace and the Global Peace Youth Corps.

THE REVERSE IS TRUE

'The Reverse Is True' is a semi–autobiographical collection of essays, personal reflection stories and life experiences; my life journey - growing up to become a man. At a young age, I was wounded by the death of my single mother and I begun the quest to find myself, a place to belong and a place in society.
